Parley User Guide
Parley records your meetings, transcribes them live and writes the summary, the decisions and the action items, all on your own computer. No account, no telemetry, and no cloud unless you choose to add one.
Start here
- Installing Parley: one command, no root needed.
- First run: the setup and a tour of the app.
- Recording a meeting: capturing both sides of any call.
What Parley does
- Records both sides of any call, from your microphone and your computer’s audio, so it works with every meeting app and no bot joins your call.
- Transcribes live on your computer with Whisper, on your GPU if you have one.
- Knows who said what, and learns to recognise people across meetings.
- Writes summaries from templates, with chapters, key decisions and action items.
- Answers questions about one meeting or all of them, citing where each answer came from.
- Works with your calendar to name meetings, remind you and prepare briefs.
- Exports to Markdown, PDF, Word, JSON, subtitles or your notes app.
